This fall, Taino Productions, a group of dancers drawn from an ethnically rich mixture of people will perform an original dance concert called, Raices Cultura Latina.  'Raices refers to the root of every culture and dance. The show  celebrates Latin forms of dance and will present them from the streets of Spanish Harlem to the mountains of Brazil. Salsa, Bolero, Argentine Tango and Brazilian dances are just a few of the styles that will be presented both in their original form and fused with today's urban culture.

  "Every dance is rooted in a spiritual séance",  explains Israel Martinez, the show's producer and owner of the new Martinez Studios in College Point, Queens.   The show aims to preserve the purity and spirit of each dance form in an effort to facilitate a reconnection with its spiritual root.  The concert takes place at Natives Theater located at 82-22 Northern Blvd.,Jackson Heights, NY.  This building is a former movie theater that houses a restaurant on the ground floor, so a dinner and a show night can happen readily.
